Scholars' Bowl Team

Lyman Ward has a team of six to eight cadets in grades 9-12, participating each school year in several scholastic tournaments.  Annual events are the Southern Union Invitational Scholars’ Bowl, the district competition of the Alabama Scholastic Competition Association, and the Tallapoosa County Scholars’ Bowl, with other contests added to the team’s schedule as they become available.

The LWMA team has performed well recently, winning the 2005 Tallapoosa County Scholars’ Bowl during May, and the 2005 Southern Union Invitational in October.
