Lyman Ward Military Academy is about education, character, academic and leadership development. The TAC's (Teach, Advise, Counsel) are at the very foundation of that education and development. They have an important and critical role in both the individual and team development of our students.
TAC's live next to the cadet dormitories and provide supervision and direction to the cadets. They are under the supervision of the Commandant of Cadets and the President of the Academy. TAC's are responsible for the management, maintenance, and welfare of cadets under their leadership. They have the responsibility of planning, delegating tasks, and personally supervising company activities.
TAC's train the student leader in a capacity that will help him perform his objectives while developing leadership skills in each cadet. They make formal and informal inspections to ensure the Academy's policies and standards are maintained. They develop both a team and personal relationship with cadets, built upon trust and mutual respect.
