Final Exam Exemption Policy

All cadets in grades 6-10 must take all final examinations, regardless of their average grade in a particular course. All students need the experience of preparing for and taking comprehensive final examinations such as those required at the college level.

Cadets who are enrolled in a junior or senior level course (even if they happen to be sophomores), and who have maintained an ‘A’ average in that particular course (including the mid-term exam) for the entire semester, are exempt from the exam in that course (e.g., U.S. History II is a junior-level course; a sophomore who happens to be taking that class and has maintained an ‘A’ average would be exempt from the final exam in that class. That same cadet, who is taking Algebra 1B, would have to take the final exam in that class, even if he has maintained an ‘A’ average all semester).
