Lyman Ward Junior and Senior Beta Club Chapters

Lyman Ward Military Academy is privileged to have both Junior and Senior Chapters of this national scholastic honorary for secondary students. Membership is by invitation only. To be considered for both the Junior and Senior LW Clubs, a student must maintain an 85 average in all academic core courses. He must also exemplify the ideals and qualities of achievement, character, service, citizenship, and leadership.

For a student to be eligible for the Lyman Ward Chapters of Beta Club, he must attend the Academy for at least two consecutive semesters and meet the national requirements. Additionally, each potential Beta must be in good standing with the Lyman Ward military department and demonstrate acceptable behavior in all areas of campus life. Character and scholarship are equal components of the selection process for the Beta Club. It is an honor to be inducted into this prestigious national organization and to represent Lyman Ward Military Academy.

Throughout the school year, LW Beta Club chapters are quite active with various service projects. Active members attend the Alabama State Convention and traditionally Present and Post the Colors at the opening convocation of the state convention, as well as compete in artistic and academic competitions.
